Manchester United are back in Premier League action when they host Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side thrashed Southampton 9-0 midweek and will look to build on that platform with another win this weekend.
United have lost only one of their last 27 Premier League home games to Everton (20 wins, 6 draws) – a 1-0 loss in 2013/14 when David Moyes was in charge of the Reds.
As for the first team news, Edinson Cavani is available, but Eric Bailly has doubts.
Here, the MEN writers weigh in on how United should line up …

Solskjaer knows that United’s form at home will be crucial to fulfilling his ambitions in the second half of the season, so he has no choice but to go full force against a well-trained Everton.
Bailly should not be risked unless he is fully fit, while the rest of the last four are chosen.
The fact that Pogba had a night off midweek means he should start, with Fred the most logical player to leave the lineup to accommodate the Frenchman. Cavani is an essential pick up front, with Rashford and Martial on the flanks.

There is little need to trade a winning team, much less one that rioted in a 9-0 annihilation. Eric Bailly is a doubt and his fragility makes Victor Lindelof’s position more secure.
McTominay-Fred was an unusual midfield pivot against Southampton, but he was a moot point after 77 seconds. Everton deserve more respect and since United played Southampton without Paul Pogba, his brother happened to be angry about the possibility of him leaving for free. The sooner the circus collects its tents and goes to Madrid or Turin, the better.
Martial scored both goals in the middle of the week, but Cavani has to carry on.

The fact that Bailly is a doubt means that United’s defense will likely remain unchanged and Lindelof’s back will be tested with a third straight outing.
In midfield there will likely be at least one change. Paul Pogba was left out of Southampton’s rout entirely, making him a safe starter, most likely alongside fit Fred. Nemanja Matic was another unused substitute on Tuesday, but this feels like a game where the Matic / Pogba axis could be a risk.
In attack Cavani should start if he is fit, having played only 45 minutes in the middle of the week. Martial scored twice from the bench midweek and in an attempt to regain his form he should start again, with Rashford forced to the right.
