Kylian Mbappe was reportedly “flattered” because Jurgen Klopp called his father to register his interest in signing it.
Liverpool have been linked to a sensational transfer to Mbappe in recent weeks, amid claims that Real Madrid is ready to do everything possible to sign Sadio Mane.
The France international would cost Liverpool a huge fee of around £ 250 million, making the transfer unrealistic.
But if Mane left, the club could, in theory, reinvest the money in Mbappe as a direct replacement for the Senegalese star.
According to Le10sport.com, Liverpool manager Klopp recently spoke with Mbappe’s father Wilfried to discuss the possibility of signing his son for Liverpool.

But it is not just the finances involved that make the deal very unlikely.
According to Paris Saint-Germain de Mbappe teammate Ander Herrera, the World Cup winner is happy in France and has no plans to leave.
“Mbappe and Neymar are still at PSG and even more so with the situation we are currently in,” Herrera told COPE Playing Time.
“I had dinner with Neymar before quarantine and he is very involved with the project. He told me that he has never been so happy in Paris.”
“PSG’s project is such that both feel fulfilled in Paris.”
