Real Madrid will do everything possible to sign Kylian Mbappé next summer, but is signing him almost a given for Los Blancos?

In addition to the nearly 200 million euros paid directly to the Ligue 1 giants, Real Madrid would also have to spend on Mbappé’s salary to make him one of the highest paid players in the world. He would have to pay him an adequate amount to reflect his status as a Real Madrid superstar.
If it sounds like a complicated and expensive operation, it absolutely is. But that’s what it takes to sign a 21-year-old who won a World Cup, reached a Champions League final and is on his way to his third consecutive season with at least 30 goals for his club. Real understands the complicated nature of this deal financially, even sacrificing his 2020 summer transfer window to save every penny for Mbappé in 2021.

But there is something that should give Real Madrid fans extreme confidence in the club’s ability to sign Mbappé, however difficult and costly this endeavor may be. Mbappé seems to think of Madrid and no one else, specifically when it comes to competition from other clubs.
Liverpool and Juventus are sometimes mentioned, but only in wild rumors that include Cristiano Ronaldo being used to acquire Mbappé. I am not saying that it is impossible for either club to acquire Mbappé, because almost nothing is impossible in the world of football transfers. But I’m saying that compared to Real Madrid, these are very unrealistic landing places with far fewer tangible and credible transfer links.
So it’s Real Madrid or PSG. And if Mbappé still hasn’t re-signed with PSG after more than a year of negotiations, why would he suddenly change course and re-sign? He could very well do it, but the lack of a signature to this point is a huge boost for Real Madrid.
Mbappé seems to be in a similar situation to Ronaldo at Manchester United. In other words, he is an extremely talented young player who is ready to take on the greatest challenge in European football: leading a rebuilding Real Madrid to perennial Champions League glory as its ultra-efficient central player on the way to becoming. at No. 1 superstar in the world.
