The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ho West constituency, Dr. David Togbe Nfodjo, has presented math sets to some candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE) in his jurisdiction.
A total of 1,456 candidates from 68 secondary schools in the constituency benefited from the distribution exercise.
According to Dr. Nfodjo, a survey in the area revealed that the majority of candidates in the area lack the basic elements necessary for the exams due to their limited experience, “therefore, I came to the exam room with very little confidence. “.
He added that this informed his decision initiative to support candidates with math sets to build their confidence before exams.
“I made the donations to make sure we don’t have a situation where candidates don’t have drawing tools during exams, so they would have to wait to borrow from a friend or use their hands free,” he said.
Dr. Nfodjo further indicated that the presentation is part of his “Better Education Policy”, which he intends to implement when voting to represent Ho West in Parliament.
He added that he had mobilized vehicles to transport candidates in hard-to-reach areas to his test centers, and implored the candidates to ensure that they performed extremely well at the BECE in order to benefit from the free upper secondary school policy. .
One beneficiary, Evans Agbotse, expressed his gratitude to the NPP PC for the kind gesture indicating that the mathematician would help them during the exams.
“We won’t have to ask our friends for a math set or any other equipment. We really appreciate the donation, ”he emphasized.
