The Ho West deputy has reiterated the Democratic National Congress (NDC) commitment to making sure that trained teachers don’t have to write a licensing exam in order to get a job.

Emmanuel Kwesi Bedzrah said that the requirement for a writing license exam by teachers was not necessary, as teachers were already trained while in college.

He spoke at the commissioning of the first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) at the EP College of Education in Amedzope.

The Ho West MP was confident that the NDC would make the promise come true if the Ghanaians gave them the mandate to rule the country.

Bedzrah also pointed out that if the party came to power, teachers would no longer have to serve the country after school.

“Why do trained teachers have to write a licensing exam and even have to go through the National Service again when they are automatically already qualified?”

“The NDC administration, if we win, will remove all of these things and allow teachers to have some peace of mind to impact knowledge,” he said.

Bedzrah pointed out that Ghanaians needed to give the NDC another chance to correct mistakes and bring change to the country, especially in the education sector.

He said that the NDC did a lot with regards to education when it was in government and would do even more if it had the opportunity to rule the country once again.

“Give the NDC the opportunity to show you that we have the interest of your teachers at heart,” Mr. Bedzrah appealed.
