Ho University Hospital receives donation from the Viviana Lebenam Foundation Ho University Hospital receives donation from the Viviana Lebenam Foundation

The Viviana Lebenam Foundation has donated some assorted items to the children’s ward of the Ho University Hospital.

The items were soft drinks, tissues, small towels, cookies, liquid soaps, bottled water, and diapers.

Thomas Mawuena Malm, Founder and Managing Trustee of the Foundation, said his gesture was part of the Foundation’s social responsibility and to redeem a request made by the District, when he visited the facility in November 2020.

He believed that his benevolence would bring smiles to children and ease the incessant pressure on their parents.

Malm recognized the Stadium Gate Mall in Ho for supporting this speech and urged others to emulate his example.

Ms. Lucky Mary Kutsi, Nurse in Charge of Pediatrics, who received the items on behalf of the Children’s Ward, expressed her gratitude to the Foundation and promised to put the items to good use.

He said the ward lacked a pulse oximeter, a device that measures the proportion of oxygenated hemoglobin in the blood in pulsating vessels, in addition to a heart monitor.

“We currently only have an oximeter and a heart monitor in the children’s room, which is concerning.”

Ms. Kutsi appealed to governmental and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for more of these, including; medical equipment to assist the effective operation of the ward.

The Viviana Lebenam Foundation was founded to immortalize Mr. Malm’s late wife and its main objective is to provide care through advocacy, empowerment, and education for growth, development and support to children and the elderly.
