Hearts of Oak went three games without a win after league leaders Karela United drew without a goal on Friday night.
The Phobians could not take advantage of the Accra sports stadium to register their first victory of the season in the match of the fourth day.
New coach Kostadin Papic did not appear on the phobia bench as his work permit is not ready.
Assistant coach Asare Bediako led the team in the match, as they made four changes to the line-up that started against Inter Allies FC last Sunday.
Injured duo Emmanuel Nettey and Nurudeen Sulley paved the way for Robert Addo Sowah and Frederick Ansah Botchway.
Dominic Eshun had his first season opener replacing Kojo Obeng Jnr. while Michelle Sarpong replaced Abdul Manaf Umar.
Karela’s coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, made three changes to his setup when Yaw Acheampong got his first start, replacing Kamaradini Mamudu.
Sadiq Alhassan returned to the top eleven recovering from injury replacing Umar Basiru.
Nurudeen Abdulai also took the place of Darlington Gyan Fosu.
The two teams did not give their best in the first half of the match as they both seemed boring and purposeless.
They were unable to create scoring opportunities before the halftime whistle.
The pace of the game in the second half rose after some substitutions from the two coaches.
The Phobians came very close to breaking the game duck, but Sarpong’s effort in the 50th minute shook the wood after a good job from Patrick Razak.
Hearts have only scored two points from the three games they have played so far.
They will play at home again in their next game when Dreams FC comes to visit.
Karela will be at CAM Park in Aiyinase to entertain King Faisal Babes on the fifth day of the match.
