The national chair of the opposition Democratic National Congress, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, says the Electoral Commission will have no choice but to declare former President John Mahama the winner of the December elections after the Ghanaians have elected him.

“Ghanaians are ready for change and change is coming. I have been in politics for years and I can smell the victory that is coming. I can smell the coming of John Mahama’s victory.

“And for the electoral commission, he will have the most difficult and unpleasant duty to declare John Mahama as president-elect. And let me sign this warning, we have heard about some movements on how the results will be channeled to the EC headquarters, we want to tell the EC that we will not accept anything that the IPAC has not agreed to, ”Mr. Ofosu Ampofo told a crowd. of NDC supporters at their probity and accountability march in Accra on Monday.

Also at the meeting, NDC Secretary General Johnson Asiedu Nketia asked Ghanaians to consider a vote against the Akufo-Addo government in the December elections as “communal work.”

According to him, Ghanaians can no longer live under the rule of “relatives and friends” of the Akufo-Addo administration.

“This president has only enriched his family since he took office. The only people who get wealth are people with Kyebi names and people with names like Ofori Atta, Otchere Darko, and Addo Dankwa. This nepotism cannot be allowed to continue. Some Ghanaians are now changing their names just to secure jobs, the problem is not our names, it is with bad leadership and Akufo-Addo must go. Voting for them is a community job and we must fulfill it, ”he said.
