Rex Omar is always trying to discredit president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, but what has he (Rex Omar) done for musicians as president of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), has asked veteran highlife musician Akosua Agyapong .
According to Akosua Agyapong, Rex Omar, whom he described as the “worst GHAMRO president of all time,” is quite quick to criticize the country’s president even though Akufo-Addo has used his position to help musicians.
The “Frema” hitmaker wants Rex Omar, who is also a veteran of the high life, to tell the musicians what he has done for them.
Expressing his disappointment with the current GHAMBRO administration, he said that contrary to the high expectations the musicians of the hitmaker ‘Abiba’ had, it has been a huge disappointment.
Speaking in Accra FM On Thursday October 1, 2020, Akosua Agyapong said: “When Carlos was in charge, [Rex Omar] We were on various media platforms criticizing, so we think that given the opportunity, you will do better. Rather, the situation has gone from bad to worse.
“As for Rex, I will say it over and over again that among all of them, Rex is the worst GHAMRO president of all time.”
“I don’t do politics, but I know who to vote for. I don’t do politics because I have followers of various political parties, but someone like Rex Omar goes on the air to question what President Akufo-Addo has done for the musicians, but what he has done. [Rex Omar] made for musicians? noted the ‘Eka bi nie’ singer.
He also revealed that he wants a chance to run GHAMRO, indicating that “something is wrong somewhere.”
Akosua Agyapong, who has constantly announced the rot of the royalty collection and distribution company, also expressed disappointment with Diana Hopeson, the second vice president of GHAMRO.
She told the host: “Also, there is a woman who has disappointed me, Diana Hopeson. Diana has really disappointed me because she is a woman. And to begin with, she went to run the Musicians Union as president and we didn’t see what you did. We didn’t see what Diana did for the musicians. “
