Hazard is not thinking about El Clásico – Ghana soccer latest news, live scores, results

Eden Hazard doesn’t want to take chances. Neither did Zinedine Zidane nor, to a greater extent, the Real Madrid hierarchy. That reluctance to take things too far means that no one is pressuring the Belgian to recover from the injury, and also that he will not be at the Camp Nou on October 24 for the first Clásico of the season with Barcelona.

The priority is for Hazard to rediscover his confidence, his morale and his fitness before he thinks about returning to the pitch. No one is rushing it and the wish is for it to come back as well as it can, rather than forcing things too fast and getting it back to 80 or 90 percent.

Number 7 has been through a bad time at Real Madrid and his last 11 months have been nothing but forgettable. It was on November 29, 2019 when he was injured under a challenge from his compatriot Thomas Meunier and his ordeal began.

Everybody knows what they need. Zinedine Zidane and Roberto Martínez are aware that training is important for him to return to his best level.

As things stand, no date has been set for his return. There is no target date or game. Playing in the Clásico would undoubtedly be an advantage for the player and for Real Madrid, but nobody wants to take risks.

For now, Hazard continues with his recovery process and has not yet set foot on Valdebebas’ turf. He works indoors together with Álvaro Odriozola and Dani Carvajal, who will also be absent against Barcelona.

Nothing but misfortune has accompanied Hazard since he arrived at Real Madrid. He has suffered two muscle injuries and an ankle problem that led to surgery.
