Chelsea made up for lost time following its two-window transfer ban and Ziyech became the first new addition when a £ 36 million deal was struck with Ajax for the offensive midfielder in February.

Werner, meanwhile, is in top form after a slow start, scoring seven times in his last seven appearances with the Blues.
Asked about Ziyech’s impact, former Chelsea midfielder Fabregas said 90min: ‘He has this vision that you need in a superior team like Chelsea who wants to win and be champions.
“It is true that they were a team that lacked ideas a bit in the last season and maybe at the beginning of this one.
But yeah, with Ziyech, you can see that he has this latest pass and it’s not just that he sees it, it’s that he does it well and at the right time.
‘This is the decision-making we talk about today. Why are coaches so tactical? Because they see that the decision-making of the players is not that good so they always need to teach them what to do.
‘You know, before, I think the coaches were not so on top of the player because they felt that maybe there was not so much need because they felt that maybe there was not so much need because the players already fix it themselves.
Fabregas added: ‘I think he is one of those players who makes things happen.
‘Things that, when the defenders or centrals don’t expect you to make that pass and you catch them sleeping.
“And you have someone like Timo Werner doing great races behind and I think this is where Chelsea could be so powerful this year.”
Lampard praised Ziyech’s performance after Chelsea’s emphatic 4-1 win over Sheffield United, saying the attacking midfielder had added “magic” and “quality” that the team perhaps lacked last season.
“Maybe there are some more to come, he hasn’t played games for a long time and due to injury he’s started to work,” he told Chelsea TV.
But his work ethic has been excellent, his desire to get the ball back for a modern winger is imperative for the press.
‘The magic, what you want from him when you bring him in, is that quality of breaking a line or finding a cross.
“I wanted him to bring something different and he clearly has brought it in these early stages and I hope we can continue to work on that.”
