Gyan moves to Legon Cities FC in Ghana

At the end of 2018, the Ghanaian forward’s financial problems, Asamoah gyan, began to be known. The player, who scored more than 240 goals in his career, came close to ruin after failing to properly manage his fortune.

The player who was one of the stars of the 2010 World Cup, who played in Udinese, Rennes, Sunderland and Shanghai SIPG, won 17 million euros by season on the Chinese side, more than stars like Bale and Neymar, but he wasted it.

Perhaps that is why, when he was still of an age to play at a high level, he began roaming around teams rewarded his past more financially than his performance.

He spent the last seasons in Dubai (Al Ahli), Turkey (Kayserispor) and India (North East United). Now he returns to his country to finish his career in Legon Cities FC.

In Ghana they say that he has signed for one season. Strange ending for the man who still stands Africa’s top scorer in a World Cup with six goals and by the man who scored Ghana’s first goal in a World Cup final in 2006.
