Some unknown gunmen have reportedly killed a 58-year-old driver.
The driver was reportedly shot and killed and this was after these gunmen punctured the tires of his car with spikes. As we speak, the Northwest Police are on the hunt for these men.
The deceased is identified as Kgasi Seal and reportedly, realizing his tires had been punctured, got out of the car to change his tire only to be shot and killed by two men who were allegedly speaking in Shona.
After murdering him, they also took away his weapon. There were two female passengers in her car and these two passengers were also robbed by these unknown gunmen.
Northwest Police Capt. Sam Tselanyane confirmed the incident, saying it happened on Friday.
He said;
“The vehicle suffered a puncture after it passed over peaks that were scattered on the road near the Solar Panels camp.
Kgasi allegedly stopped the vehicle to repair the puncture, but was ambushed and shot by two suspects who were armed with firearms.
As a result, Kgasi was mortally wounded and his personal pistol and other belongings were stolen by the suspects. Additionally, the suspects also stole an undisclosed amount of cash and their cell phones from the two passengers. Suspects who are still at large were reportedly communicating in Shona. “
The provincial commissioner, Lieutenant General Seal Kwena, has also reacted to this and in his reaction, he said;
“The public, especially motorists, are warned to be very vigilant when approaching that area at night, as it is becoming a hotbed of crime. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the alleged perpetrators are brought to the book. “
