Group calls for the immediate removal of Kpone-Katamanso MCE | Politics

A group calling itself “Concerned PNP Members in Kpone-Katamanso” is calling for Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) Solomon Appiah Tettey to be removed with immediate effect.

The group says the MCE was part of a plot to sabotage the dream of a constituency parliamentary candidate, Hopeson Adorye, of becoming a Member of Parliament (MP).

The group also reveals that the MCE, to show its hatred for Adorye, has also recently fired Millicent Narkie, a PNP women’s organizer on three occasions for the constituency, and her “crime” is that she supported Mr. Hopeson Adorye .

Read a statement from the group; ” The letter primarily frees the former constituency organizer from her position as caretaker of a public toilet in the constituency. His ONLY crime is that he openly supported Mr. Adorye’s campaign and did not remain silent when the MCE warned him to desist from supporting a non-Ga (in this case, Hopeson Adorye).

The absurdity of this letter is the fact that all the MMDCE, technically speaking, must already be preparing their delivery notes to vacate their positions because their mandate coincides with that of the president. Interestingly, we have an MCE that is hell-bent on going down with any party member who supported Hopeson’s campaign. ”

KPONE-KATAMANSO MCE MUST BE CALLED TO ORDER

If there are two parliamentary candidates of the New Patriotic Party in the Greater Accra region who worked tirelessly towards the victory of the PNP in the just concluded elections, undoubtedly the party’s parliamentary candidate for Kpone-Katamanso, the name of Hopeson Adorye will come first or second. .

However, for some strange reasons, elements within his own party (PNP) at the electoral and regional level sabotaged his hard work and his dream of becoming a deputy. They deployed Machiavellian tactics to displease the former electoral district secretary.

These selfish individuals led by the MCE for the area, Hon. Solomon Appiah Tettey worked tirelessly against his candidacy from the parliamentary primaries to the general elections. This was because the MCE’s preferred candidate lost to Hopeson in the Orphan Districts party’s parliamentary primaries on September 28, 2019.

Now to the substantive issue: below is a letter written on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 (just a week before the inauguration of the president-elect, HE Nana Akufo-Addo) and signed by H.E. Solomon Appiah Tettey, MCE of Kpone-Katamanso with the title “EXPIRATION OF THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT” and a copy given to a PNP organizer three times for the constituency, a Millicent Narkie.

The letter primarily frees the former constituency organizer from her position as caretaker of a public toilet in the constituency. His ONLY crime is that he openly supported Mr. Adorye’s campaign and did not remain silent when the MCE warned him to desist from supporting a non-Ga (in this case, Hopeson Adorye).

The absurdity of this letter is the fact that all the MMDCE, technically speaking, must already be preparing their delivery of notes to leave their positions because their mandate is adjacent to that of the president. Interestingly, we have an MCE who is hell-bent on going down with any party member who supported Hopeson’s campaign.

I read an online post where the Chief Minister, Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo in an interview claims, among other things, that all the MMDCE who sabotaged their parliamentary candidates will be removed from their posts as soon as possible. It is fair and appropriate that such an important exercise begins with the MCE for Kpone-Katamanso, Hon. Solomon Appiah Tettey so that the constituency can have some peace and rethink its strategy for the 2024 elections.
