Bryan Robson believes it was a good move by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to hand over the Manchester United captaincy to Harry Maguire earlier this season.
United needed a new club captain in January when Ashley Young sealed a transfer to Inter Milan, ending his nine-year stay at Old Trafford.
And although Maguire was still in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, having signed for a £ 80 million fee from Leicester last summer, Solskjaer did not hesitate to hand the bracelet over to the center.
The decision has paid off, with United enjoying a solid form period in February and March, before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Maguire impressive on an individual level as well.
“I thought he deserved it,” the former United Robson captain said on the UTD podcast.
