Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has jokingly called Bukayo Saka a ‘liar’ after the latter claimed his goal against Chelsea was deliberate.
Arsenal winger Saka scored his team’s third goal in a 3-1 victory against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, launching a cross shot on goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Despite seeming to be a fluke, the 19-year-old cheerfully claimed after the match that the goal was deliberate as he saw Mendy ‘out of line’.
And Saka’s teammate in England, Grealish, gave a five-word answer in response.
He tweeted: ‘Ur a (sic) funny man! Liar’.
The couple’s compatriot Tammy Abraham also voiced her opinion on Saka’s claim after the match.
The Chelsea striker, walking off the pitch alongside Saka and Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, chimed in: ‘You weren’t serious, shut up man.
Saka’s goal in the 56th minute came after a penalty from Alexandre Lacazette and a superb free-kick from Granit Xhaka, ending Chelsea’s hopes of a good result.
The Blues grew up in the game and pulled one through Abraham, but Bernd Leno saved his penalty to Jorginho.
The result means that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have won their first Premier League game in seven attempts and their first national game since November 1.
