The 28-year-old who retired from soccer in 2019 due to ongoing injuries has announced that he is ready to come out of retirement to play for the Ghana giants.

“At the moment if I am honest it is far from the truth and there is nothing concrete. You’re never ready unless you get tested. At the moment, obviously, I have been out of the game for so many years and it will take me a couple of months to get back to the physical form that I think is required to play.

“I support Kotoko and if I had the chance it would be one of the most important days of my life,” Frimpong said in an interview with TV3.

On August 17, 2017, Frimpong signed a two-year contract in Cyprus with Ermis Aradippou. However, the Ghanaian in March 2019 withdrew from football due to injury.
