Goldkey hands over modern divisional police headquarters to cantonment police

Goldkey Properties Limited, a wholly owned Ghanaian real estate company, has delivered a four-story office complex to the Divisional Cantonment Police Headquarters in Accra.

The complex, among other things, comprises an armory, a conference room, and male and female cells.

In a speech read on his behalf by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, the government indicated its commitment to partnering with the right stakeholders to resolve the logistical and accommodation constraints of security services. .

“Since taking office, the government has provided more than 700 vehicles to the Police Service and many more are on the way,” he said.

In 2008, the Government of Ghana signed an agreement between the Ghana Police Service, Goldkey Properties and Alema Properties for the construction of houses for the Ghana Police Service in Cantonments Barracks with a Divisional Command as part of the project.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) James Oppong-Boanuh praised the government for its commitment to ensuring the well-being of service personnel.

The IGP also commended previous IGPs for their contribution to the construction project.

James Oppong-Boanuh also assured the government of the effort of the Police to maintain the building and be more professional in the performance of their duties to better serve the community.

He said that, as a leading security organization, the need for infrastructure installation is crucial and would positively impact the work performance of officers.

Fuseina Abu, Managing Director of Goldkey Properties Limited, expressed her gratitude to the government, the Ghana Police Service and stakeholders for the cooperation from inception to completion of the installation.

She said: “This project is a testament to what the police and the private sector can achieve by working together, and Goldkey looks forward to collaborating more with the Ghana Police Service.”
