Ladies and gentlemen, I am sure that together we can have an orderly, fair and credible election, ”he said.
Whip Majority Chief Kwesi Ameyaw Cheremeh called on Ghanaians to adhere to security protocols on the coronavirus pandemic.
The leader of the minority group, Haruna Iddrisu, reiterated the need for the country to protect its peace before, during and after the elections.
One of the key decisions that the chamber made before its closure was the revocation of the status of member of the deputy by Fomena.
After unsuccessful attempts at persuasion, the PNP in which Andrew Amoako Asiamah contested the 2016 election fired him following his decision to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming election.
The party notified the chamber of its decision and after weeks of deliberations, Parliament decided to declare its seat vacant.
