Ghanaian international Ernest Asante showed good form on Friday night when he scored Omonia Nicosia’s first goal in Karmiotissa Pano Polemidion’s 5-1 game in Cyprus.
The seasoned forward earned a starting role for the team today when they visited the Pano Polemidhia Community Stadium to face off against matchday 15 top-flight opponent from Cyprus.
By providing the attacking power needed for his team, Ernest Asante had an impressive match that lasted 64 minutes.
On the day, the winger scored within seven minutes of the first half to give Omonia Nicosia an early lead.
With a Fotis Papoulis draw that doubled the away team’s lead before the break, second-half goals from Marinos Tzionis, Thiago Santos and Ioannis Kousoulos completed the team’s strong victory.
Later, in the closing minutes of the match, Nikita Baranov entered his name on the scoresheet to serve as a consolation goal for Karmiotissa.
