Ghana’s experienced midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi parted ways with Swedish first division club AIK following the expiration of his contract.

The former Liberty Professionals man joined the Swedish Allsvenskan in 2017 after leaving Turkish team Akhisar Belediyespo in 2017.

After an outstanding three-year stay in Sweden, Enoch Adu Kofi has decided to move on to a new challenge and this weekend has broken ties with AIK after seeing his contract run out at the end of the recently concluded season.

Speaking to the club’s official website, AIK sporting director Henrik Jurelius extended his thanks to the club to the player for the time he spent with the team.

“I want to thank Adu for three great years at AIK and not least for his significant efforts during the club’s successful 2018 when we lifted the Lennart Johansson trophy,” he was quoted as saying on the team’s website.

Henrik Jurelius continued: “I also want to highlight his character as a person and through his character he has contributed a lot to the team building at Karlberg over the years. The whole club thanks him for his time at AIK and wishes him good luck in the future ”.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Enoch Adu Kofi is planning to return to Turkey.
