President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says that in his second term in office, he will once again put Ghana on the map as one of the fastest growing economies in Africa.

“Before the pandemic, Ghana in recent years was one of the fastest growing economies in the world, I give you my word, we will regain that reputation,” he said.

Akufo-Addo in his victory speech congratulated the electoral commission and party agents for what he describes as one of the best elections ever witnessed in the history of Ghana.

“The Election Commission, even in the midst of the pandemic, has done landlord work and we can only urge them to continue on the path of making the greatest progress in the future.

“The orderly, commendable and peaceful conduct of Ghanaians on Election Day is to be applauded,” he said.

Akufo-Addo expressed his gratitude to the people of Ghana for voting him to power and trusting that he will fulfill his mandate.

He encouraged his party members to celebrate his hard work and loyalty to the New Patriotic Party.

“NPP supporters should, understandably, celebrate and rejoice, but desist from adverse acts.”
