Ghana’s youth forward Daniel Lomotey became the first player to score four goals in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League when WAFA edged Medeama 5-4 in Sogakope on Sunday.

The Academy Boys went four to zero in the first half, but a hectic one

Agbloe found a cross from left-back John Tedeku and shoved the ball into the net for the first goal in the sixth minute.

After half an hour, forward Godwin Agbevor sublimely passed the ball over goalkeeper Eric Antwi with a touch from very close.

Seven minutes later, Agbloe scored his second goal of the afternoon and put three to zero.

WAFA were forced to make a forced substitution after midfielder Lawrence Agyekum was carried out on a stretcher and replaced by Forson Amankwah.

Just before the half-time whistle, Agbevor launched a cross from the right and Agbloe converted it again for the fourth goal.

It was an afternoon hat-trick for the former Ghana youth international.

After the break, Medeama stepped forward and immediately received a penalty that was converted by forward Abass Mohammed.

Two minutes into the second half, the Mauves and Yellows won a free kick near the box and midfielder Rashid Nortey edged goalkeeper Ferdinand Sabi Acquah.

Then Nortey hit from range to beat goalie Acquah again to make it 4-3 now in a surprise comeback.

Six minutes to go, WAFA managed to score another through Agloe to make it 5-3 and when everyone thought the game was over, Judge Blay pulled the trigger with a bolt of lightning.
