The Ghana Football Association will enforce strict protocols at the Black Stars camp ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan next month.

SEVEN players on the team contracted the virus while on international duty in the country’s friendly matches against Mali and Qatar earlier this month.

The Ghana FA will ensure strict adherence to protocols when the team gathers for the AFCON double header against the Falcons of Jediane to prevent a possible second wave of infection.

Crystal Palace Forward Jordan Ayew, Celta Vigo defend Joseph Aidoo and Besiktas midfielder Bernard Mensah all tested positive after Ghana’s international friendlies against Mali and Qatar two weeks ago.

Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban was hospitalized after contracting the virus while living in Germany Kassim noah also tested positive for the deadly virus, as well as the left back of Vitoria Guimaraes Gideon Mensah.

Joseph Attamah Larweh, based in Turkey, also recoveredafter initial test positive for the new virus.

All seven players are expected resume large-scale training in their respective clubs after making positive recoveries in recent days.

The players contracted Covid-19 after appearing in Ghana’s international double headers against Mali and Qatar in Antalya, Turkey, two weeks ago.

But four of the players have recovered well in time to show up for the team before the playoffs.
