Polling stations do not officially close for Ghana’s elections. Now, attention is turning away from the polling stations and towards the Collations centers in the 16 regions that are to announce the results.
Jean Mensa, the woman who organized this election does not warn that it causes political parties and the media to avoid declaring results.
The chairman of the Ghana Election Commission says they only have the right to announce the results according to the law.
A presidential winner in Ghana must obtain no less than 50% +1 of the total valid votes cast, the Election Commission said Tuesday morning.
Reports examined by BBC Pidgin indicate that this election will be a highly contested election between the ruling NPP and the main opposition NDC.
