Astute Ghanaian sports journalist Moses Antwi Benefo has been appointed Communications Director for Asante Kotoko SC.
Popularly known as PJ Mosey, the affable journalist will lead the club’s communications department for the next three years under the leadership of Executive Director Nana Yaw Amponsah.
His appointment came as no surprise, as he was favored by many because of his relationship with former Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential hopeful Nana Amponsah.
PJ, who has a master’s degree in journalism, is the latest to earn an appointment to the club after Emmanuel Dasoberi was appointed operations and administrative manager.
The sports journalist recently got a job at Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, but it is believed that he would combine the two positions.
Meanwhile, Oyerepa FM has reported that Kotoko’s management has ordered head coach Maxwell Konadu to reduce his technical team while the club begins preparations before next season.
The club is undergoing massive changes under the newly appointed CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, with the focus on the playing and coaching staff.
The former Black Stars B coach is currently assisted by three coaches, Johnson Smith, who joined the club from Ghana’s Premier League Karela United, Akakpo Patron and Abdulai Gazale, and has been told to choose one. of three.
Konadu is likely to go with Abdulai Gazale, as recommended when he joined the club as head coach.
