Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has given a refreshing update on his injury, saying that he is not using crutches again.
Kudus joined Ajax in a big money move from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in the summer.
The 20-year-old made an instant impression in his first months at the club, winning two Man of the Match awards in three games.
However, his burgeoning career has been on hold for some time after sustaining a serious knee injury during the Champions League game against Liverpool.
During an interview with Inside Ajax, the Ghana international revealed that he is on the right track in his recovery process.
“I can do almost everything again: drive a car, walk without crutches. I started my rehab and everything went back to normal,” said Kudus, who underwent meniscus surgery.
“The operation went well. I got good messages from everyone at the club. I want to thank everyone for that.”
He continued: “I watch all the games, in my mind I am with them, although I am not physically present. I support and pray for them in every game. “
He is expected to return to the court early next year.
