Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku insists that FIFA Forward 2.0 money will be invested in building infrastructure at the Ghana Football Center of Excellence.
The FA is expected to receive $ 6 million over four years from FIFA, as money to support the member association.
At the 26th Congress of the Football Association on Tuesday, Mr. Okraku announced that the money will be used to build a gymnasium, a swimming pool and a multipurpose field.
“The FIFA Forward 1.0 program will also feature a $ 280,000 investment in jackpots at League Centers and Game Centers across the country, as well as updating IT to enhance competitions. It involves supplying the clubs with PCs, scanners, printers and internet, “he said.
“We will also use some of the money from FIFA Forward 2.0 to complete projects such as a multipurpose pitch, swimming pool, gym and others here at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence,” he added.
The FA is taking great strides to bring football back to its glory days, introducing several initiatives, including the “catch the young referees” policy.
Last month, the FA, thanks to the support of UEFA, also acquired a van for youth-level referees.
