Ghana Football Association (GFA) Secretary General Prosper Harrison Addo has appealed to Ghanaian players practicing abroad to return home and end their careers in the Ghana Premier League .

The upcoming 2020/21 Ghana Premier League has been boosted by the return of one of Ghana’s best footballers, Asamoah Gyan, who joined Legon Cities on the day of the transfer deadline.

Prosper Harrison Addo praised the decision of Ghana’s all-time top scorer Asamoah Gyan to return to the Ghana Premier League after 17 years, a move he says has brought a lot of exposure to the national top flight and will pave the way for others.

“All of our great players in Europe are welcome to the Ghana Premier League. We will urge our legends to come home and play in the league while they can play, ”Brenya told Ohene-Bampoe on Happy 98.9 FM.

“Let the great players come and add their experience, structure and everything to the highest national category. The media attention and everything is huge when they join the league. So we will urge you all to go home and play.

“The GFA is ready to help and we are sure that the fans will also provide the necessary support,” he added.

Prosper Harrison Addo also indicated that the Ebusua Dwarfs have not yet been kicked out of the league as the club is trying to resolve its issue about a possible settlement with the General Registration Department.

“The subject is not new for us. Last season they brought us the same topic. The dwarves went to court to impose an injunction on the GFA and the General Registry Department so that we couldn’t do anything. There are currently meetings going on between the Dwarves and the liquidators and for now I can say they are still part of the league. “
