The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to restrict fan sponsorship of all football matches for the next four weeks. This directive takes effect immediately, as of Saturday, February 13, 2021.

This, according to the Executive Council, will give the GFA enough time to implement corrective measures that make the different stadiums safe for football fans and consumers in our attempt to assist the government in the fight against the pandemic.

As a result, the GFA intends to use the four week period to strategize and re-engage before opening the various centers to the public.

Clubs are encouraged to use the period to train delegates who will be directly responsible for fan behavior in our quest to observe the social distancing protocol.

The public is informed that this directive does not include continental games involving Asante Kotoko SC.
