Frank Lampard: Chelsea deserves credit for Declan Rice’s success

According to Football.london, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has praised the club’s youth academy for Declan Rice’s success at West Ham United.

The young Englishman made it to the ranks of the Blues before being fired at the age of 14. Since then, he has established himself as one of the best young players in the league at London Stadium.

This has linked him to a return to the Bridge. However, a potential deal will not be cheap, with West Ham seeking the rescue of a king.

“Declan is playing at such a high level at West Ham, but when other players take other paths, the club should also take some credit for making them play professional football.”

While Rice deserves credit for proving us wrong, Lampard believes the club should take credit for producing players who will become world-class professionals.

“When you watch the Premier League and the Championship, there are a lot of players who went through the Chelsea system. That’s the really positive thing for us. “
