Chelsea star Kai Havertz reveals his best position to Frank Lampard
According to The Express, Chelsea star Kai Havertz is happy to play wherever he needs to as he looks to kick off his career at the club.
The club’s biggest signing of the summer, the German ace is off to an uneven start at Bridge. Injury and coronavirus absences have done little to see him hit a purple patch on blue.
Frank Lampard, however, doesn’t seem concerned and is quite happy with Havertz’s performances.
“I’m very happy to play and at the moment it doesn’t matter in what position.”
With the club heading into its busy December schedule, Havertz will find himself with no shortage of opportunities to impress.
With players like Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi ruled out for the next two weeks, he might even be poised to play a prominent role in the Blues attack.
Havertz admits he has an affinity for offensive positions and has the experience of playing a variety of roles at Bayer Leverkusen.
“I like to play offense, but in Leverkusen I think I played in all offensive positions, so for me it doesn’t matter what position I am in.”
Havertz had previously admitted that it was initially difficult for him to cope with the rising standards of football in England.
Hopefully you will find yourself more at ease in the coming weeks. An extremely talented player, Havertz has a long way to go in his career. The chances are high that he will go down in the Chelsea history books if he progresses as expected.
