Glenn Hoddle believes Liverpool’s transfers in the summer transfer window give them a great chance to win the Premier League and Champions League this season.
The Reds won their first top flight title in 30 years last season, a year after securing their sixth Champions League crown.
However, Jurgen Klopp wasn’t settling for that and has added three new players during the transfer window.
Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota have arrived at Anfield this summer as the Reds look to win back-to-back titles as well as progress in Europe.
After taking on Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland in Group D on Thursday night, Hoddle made a bold prediction about Liverpool’s fate in Europe and at home.

The former England manager said of BT Sport’s draw coverage: “I think they have improved the squad to no end, really. I think Jota came out of nowhere, but it’s a very smart purchase.
“Thiago, well, he keeps the ball to have fun, and in that Liverpool I think they have gone up a couple more speeds, so I think they are my favorites to win the Champions League this year and possibly the Premier. League too.
“It’s a great question, but it would be an incredible achievement if they could do it. I think Liverpool is the best team in Europe with balance in the way they defend and attack, it’s not just about attacking with Liverpool, they are solid defenders.
“We have seen Fabinho come in behind the other day, he was outstanding. They have options all over the field. Players like Oxlade-Chamberlain now have depth, he’s a great player, but he hasn’t had the opportunity.
“They really have a team there that I think could win the Premier League and the Champions League.”
Liverpool have won three of three of their opening Premier League games this season, beating Leeds United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Reds are next in league action at Aston Villa on Sunday night as they look to maintain their 100% record.
