Brigitte Dzogbenuku, has been surpassed as the 2020 standard-bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) before the general elections on December 7.
Madame Brigitte was the running mate of Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom for the party in the 2016 general election.
Speaking at the ceremony, he described his disappointment in the main NPP and NDC political parties:
“We have repeatedly felt so disappointed and disempowered with each subsequent election that we have lost hope and confidence, even in our own abilities and in our own power to change things.
“I, as a standard bearer for the PPP, am here to restore that hope and reassure them,” he promised.
She said none of the promises made by the two major parties have ever been kept.
“We have been promised ‘a better Ghana’ and ‘real change’ over the years, but all we’ve seen is two sides of the same coin and a widening gap between rich and poor, and our The human capital development index is only one notch above the average for our region. “
