Former Hearts of Oak defender Vincent Atinga is set to join the Accra Grand Olympics, local media reported.

Atinga is currently in the country after finishing a torrid spell with South Africa with second division Uthongathi FC.

He has already started seasons with the Major Olympics team through training sessions and friendly matches.

Former Black Stars B is set to sign for the two-time Ghana Premier League champions at the end of the week.

Atinga has extensive experience playing in the top flight for Ghana representing the Ebusua Dwarfs and Hearts of Oak.

He was also a member of the successful Ghana team during the 2017 WAFU Tournament.

His inclusion in an already excellent Olympic team should double his chances of finishing in the top 4 at the end of the season.

The Accra club is enjoying a good season with very high chances of finishing in the top half.

They are currently fourth with 24 points, four behind league leaders Karela United.
