He added that “in these moments of great pain, we accompany them from a distance and we hope that this message can alleviate their pain and provide them with support and comfort.

This follows an accident on Saturday, involving some 34 young footballers from Africa Vision Soccer Academy who claimed the lives of eight footballers when the minibus they were traveling in sank in the Ofinso River.

Sadly, six of the young footballers were killed on the spot, while one who was in critical condition died at Komfo Anokye University Hospital in Kumasi on Sunday.

Ten of the victims were treated at St. Patrick’s Hospital and have been discharged while others continue to receive treatment at the various hospitals.
