Asante Kotoko’s Captain, Felix Annan
Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper, Felix Annan, has promised to fight hard and come back on the pitch stronger after his latest injury setback.
Annan was injured during the Premier League match between his team and Berekum Chelsea last Sunday. Kotoko’s pattern was replaced in the 90th minute after an aerial challenge that resulted in a torn thigh.
Subsequent scan results reveal that he is likely out for a minimum of 4 weeks, which is a huge blow to him after his good start to the season.
Annan had started the first two games for his team and his sideline spell will take away the competitive action on a team that has fierce competition for the goalkeeper spot.
He will miss the club’s next Premier League matches and also the CAF Champions League double preliminary qualifying round against FC Nouadhibou of Mauritania.
However, the 26-year-old has vowed to work hard and return to the field stronger than before.
He posted through his Twitter page;
