Kumasi Asante Kotoko has received great relief as their number one goalkeeper and club captain Felix Annan has returned to training.
The goalkeeper was injured at the end of Kotoko’s 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea on matchday two of the Ghana Premier League.
He collided with Berekum Chelsea striker Stephen Sarfo in the 87th minute of the game and had to be on a stretcher for his substitute Kwame Baah to retain the position.
Since being injured, he has been in rehab, but Annan has stepped up his comeback with training and it won’t be a surprise if he starts playing for Kotoko soon.
If all goes according to plan, it will come as no surprise that Felix Annan returns to Kotoko’s squad of the day against the Grand Olympics on Thursday in the outstanding league match in Accra.
Kotoko will host Sudanese team Al Hilal in the first leg of the knockout stage of the CAF Champions League on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, and Annan hopes to play a role.
