Former Asante Kotoko SC National Circles President Mr. Kwaku Amponsah (K5) has urged fans to be patient with CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah.
The former Asante Kotoko board member is confident that the new CEO with his policy in the next three years can achieve his intended purpose of making Porcupines an economically vibrant club with great performances on the African ground.
He believes that this can only happen if there are no barriers of disputes and gossip.
“From the achievements of Mamelodi Sundowns as I heard on the show this morning it is said that Asante Kotoko SC is far behind in all respects compared to the top in Africa. Sundowns after naming Pitso Mosimane was calm for him and has achieved a lot for them.
In an interview with Nhyira FM, Amponsah admitted that respect for the fan-backed project is the only way the club can restore its past glories.
We also have to be patient as a club and support our own project and we will progress as a club.
“If we are calm and supportive, we may be more successful than the South Africans have,” K5 told Nhyira Power Sports.
The CEO, in consultation with the 12-member board, is expected to appoint his leadership team in the coming days.
