The famous historical Ghanaian heroine Yaa Asantewaa of her holding a gun has been claimed to be from an American art student posing as the icon of Ghana.

In a detailed report that was spotted by YEN.com.gh On the Twitter account of The Asante Nation, it was admitted that the photo of the model in a bulletproof war jacket made many people think that it is the real image of Yaa Asantewaa.

Instead, a real portrait of the famous historical warrior from Ghana was shared, showing that she looked something different than what many have believed to be the real Yaa Asantewaa.
