Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has reached a one-year agreement with Russia’s FC Tambov, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.

Ghana’s leading soccer portal GHANASoccernet.com exclusively reported earlier this week that Mohammed joins the Mordovia Arena team.

The 30-year-old midfielder has finally concluded talks with the club and both parties have agreed to a renewable contract for one year.

Under the terms of the agreement, the club may automatically renew the contract for another season.

The former Liberty Professionals player will attach his signature to the deal when he arrives in Russia, as he is currently on vacation in his native Ghana. The club has already gotten him a work visa.

However, it will undergo a mandatory medical examination before officially becoming a bona fide property of the Wolves.

FC Tambov would become the player’s fourth club in the Russian Premier League after having represented Kuban Krasnodar, Anzhi Makhachkala and Krylia Sovetov.

Mohammed will join Sergei Pervushin’s men as a free agent after his contract with French Ligue 2 Paris FC ended last season.

He made 14 appearances and scored 1 goal for Paris FC before the campaign was cut short due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Mohammed has accumulated 31 appearances for the Ghana Black Stars.
