Everton have announced the signing of Colombian striker James Rodríguez from Real Madrid.
The Premier League team paid £ 20 million for Rodríguez, who became very popular after his golden boot-winning feat at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
James, who scored six goals in that tournament, has signed a two-year contract, with the option of one more season.

“I am very, very happy to be in this great club, a club with so much history, and here with a coach who knows me very well,” Rodríguez said.
“I’m looking forward to achieving great things here, and winning things, which is everyone’s goal.

Rodríguez won two La Liga titles and two Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
