The former Ghana international defender has started his internship training course with his former Dutch club and will spend time in their youth ranks this season.
Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven have announced that former Black Stars defender Eric Addo has started his training course with them following his release from city rivals FC Eindhoven after naming him as his U21 assistant in July of this year.
According to the Eindhoven-based club, the 41-year-old retired stopper will spend time with the U13, U14, U15 and U16 teams as he hopes to hone his coaching skills before his imminent role on the bench.
It is understood that the former Roda JC defender will be kept by PSV once his training program for the football season of this legislature is over.
A statement from PSV Eindhoven regarding the confirmation of Eric Addo’s internship training course reads: “Former PSV player Eric Addo will be doing an internship at the PSV youth academy this season. Former Ghana defender is attached to PSV O13, O14 , O15 and O16 as an internship specialist trainer at the PSV Academy “.
Addo was an integral member of the Black Stars team that qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany for the first time after reaching the knockout stage in the tournament’s finals.
He has been international 45 times with Ghana.
