MAN UTD LEGEND RIDS ‘DESPERADO’ SANCHO PURSUIT
While Borussia Dortmund are convinced that any leeway for a deal with Jadon Sancho is over, it is still understood to be Manchester United’s main transfer goal.
That is according to Sky sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who said negotiations are still ongoing with his $ 200 million man.
“If you take what Borussia Dortmund says at face value, there is no deal. They set their own deadline and have said they will stay. That is the end, that is final, “he said on The Transfer Show.
“I don’t think Manchester United feels that it is final. They are still negotiating with Sancho’s representatives on personal terms and agent fees.
“Once they have done that, they will go to Dortmund with an offer and hopefully see him agitate for a trade to United.
“As far as Manchester United is concerned, it’s still the number one goal; they want to bring Jadon Sancho to the club, I don’t think he’s completely dead.”
But former United captain Gary Neville has criticized his former team for its focus on the transfer market, saying they come out “desperate.”
“Chelsea did their job, City made three or four pieces. I don’t think timing is the problem, “he said. PA sport.
“It’s one thing with United that every time they go after a player in the last four, five, six years, it feels a little desperate.
“That has been the frustration with Sancho.
“The fact that it lasts. Just tell Dortmund ‘leave it there’ and go find another player.
“There are many players around, there cannot be a single player you are chasing.
“It’s frustrating, but I think United have been better these last few seasons, more careful and without making mistakes either.
“If you can’t make a deal (for Sancho) you have to move on. Certainly you have to impose strict deadlines on the players. “
SIX CLUBS CIRCLE LIVERPOOL YOUNG GUN
Liverpool will insert a buyback clause into any deal to sign Rhian Brewster, according to reports.
SunSport reported how Aston Villa wants to buy the Liverpool forward for $ 36 million.
Playing time seems hard to come by for the 20-year-old, who has to compete with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
And Jurgen Klopp could look to raise funds for a late window purchase through the Brewster sale.
But the Reds clearly value him highly and don’t want to cut ties entirely, with the buyback clause opening the door for a comeback in the future, Sky Sports says.
Brewster spent the second half of last season on loan at Swansea and helped them reach the semifinals of the championship play-offs.
He scored 11 goals in 22 games for Steve Cooper’s team, and Villa liked his looks so much that they have asked for a permanent deal.
Sheffield United, who just signed Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea, also approached Liverpool with offers to take on the England Under-21 forward, either on a big deal or on a season-long loan.
Brewster, who won the 2017 World Cup with England U17, was wanted by up to six Premier League clubs.
Burnley, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Fulham reportedly contacted the Brewster folks in addition to Villa and Newcastle.
However, Villa is now frantic in his search after missing Callum Wilson to Newcastle in a $ 36 million move.
Smith’s team has also crashed into brick walls in their search for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
Brewster could cost around $ 36 million in total, a fee that Villa would pay alongside his rivals for his promising talents.

CHELSEA EDGE CLOSER TO EIGHTH SUMMER SIGNING
Chelsea are approaching their eighth signing of the summer period.
Edouard Mendy was linked earlier in the week with a move from Rennes to the Blues estimated at around $ 45 million.
Now, teammates have confirmed Mendy’s interest and while they are reluctant to see him leave, they are happy that he has a chance.
“We are a bit selfish, we don’t want to lose Edouard Mendy, but he’s part of football and the transfer market,” Rennes captain Damien Da Silva told Telefoot.
“He is a great goalkeeper who deserves what happens to him.”
Mendy would join an extensive list of newcomers to Stamford Bridge this summer after Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr signed.
He is seen as a possible replacement for the deficient Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been struggling at the net.
“Kepa had problems last season, that’s unquestionable,” said Petr Cech.
“But the club invested in him and gave him a long-term contract because they believe he has the qualities and attributes to succeed.
“There will be additions to the roster, perhaps even in goal, and this is what is being discussed now.”
