England will face Denmark tonight as Gareth Southgate’s team looks to continue their winning start to the Nations League campaign.
Raheem Sterling’s late penalty was enough to beat Iceland in their opening match in Rekjavik, while Denmark lost to group favorites Belgium in their opening match. England, of course, will not feature Saturday debutants Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood after the pair were sent home for breaking quarantine protocols.

And that’s the break whistle. Disjointed and not particularly inspiring so far. Denmark outplayed it with the opportunities created, Braithwaite sent the best two efforts off goal and Dolberg had a saved shot.

Eriksen easily defeats Dier and targets Dolberg for a shot, but his effort near the post is parried by Pickford. The best chances have fallen in the way of the locals in this half.

Sterling is right to get to the byline, but his clipping attempt fails to find Harry Kane. Very little for the forward to feed on, but he’s also not dropping deep and leaving the forwards wide open higher as he ties the game together.

Good first touch and half volley towards Braithwaite’s goal, but his shot flies well off the far post.

Low tempo, no real preparation game, very few goal visions. Almost as if the season hasn’t started yet.
Both teams worked hard in this nearly half-hour opening.

England are struggling a bit to get players on the ball between midfield and attack. Lots of sideways and backward passes from the midfield pair.

Nice spin from Kasper Dolberg down the right channel, he throws the ball past Dier and hits a shot that’s high and central, above Pickford, but also above the bar.
Moments later, another ball that enters the area finds Poulsen, but he cannot get his feet in time to shoot.

Trent Alexander-Arnold hits a dangerous cross that targets Kane, but Schmeichel quickly comes out to claim the ball in his six-yard box.

Christensen aims a big diagonal at Poulsen, but the ball floats over his head and goes. Delaney then beats Rice, who fouls him, but Skov throws the free throw from 25 yards.

Schmeichel almost let the ball roll under his foot and went for a corner. That’s the closest England have come to an attacking move in these first 10 minutes.
