Daystar Christian Center Senior Pastor Sam Adeyemi, singer Davido and Burna Boy have been brought to court for their involvement in the End SARS protests.
Also dragged before the Superior Court of the Federal Capital, FCT, are Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, Folarin Falana also known as Falz, Yemi Alade among others.
One activist, Kenechukwu Okeke, sued the 50 people behind the SARS protests.
The activist said that between October 28 and October 30, 2020, the defendants used their Twitter accounts to conspire among themselves to “commit a minor crime, that is, promote or act in such a way with the intention of helping in promoting an illegal meeting under the guise of #EndSARS membership ”.
Okeke claimed that the offense was punishable under section 97 (2) of the Penal Code Act, C53 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
