The Samanpiid festival is celebrated by the chiefs and people of the Kusaasi tribe to thank their ancestors for successful agriculture and the peaceful year.

Annually the Samanpiid festival is used to bring people together to chat about the path of development and peaceful coexistence.

Although the spill from the Bagre and Kompienga dams, along with torrential rains, affected lives and property in the traditional area, Bawku Naba noted that it was necessary to be grateful for the lives of the people while praying for a better season. next year.

Naba Azoka II praised key players such as the Bawku inter-ethnic peace committee, the MMDCE in Kusaug, security personnel, and civil society groups for their role in strengthening peace efforts, before, during and after the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The Zugraana called for mutual understanding among all ethnic groups to peacefully coexist in the traditional area to develop Bawku.

Naba Azoka II pointed out that the difficult situation of his subjects is due to the numerous incomplete projects in the traditional area that are negatively affecting companies.

Among the projects are the Bolgatanga-Bawku-Pulmako highway, the Tamne irrigation dam, rural electrification, the Sapelliga High School Community Day among others.

However, Zugraana thanked the government for social intervention policies such as planting for food and employment, a village a dam, a district a factory, a district a warehouse, among others.
