The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, has asked Ghanaians to vote wisely, as the country will go to the polls on December 7, 2020 to elect its president and 275 parliamentarians.

According to her, it is important to guarantee and ensure the peace and harmony that many African countries on the continent enjoy and envy.

“Let us go out in our number to vote wisely on December 7, 2020 to continue enjoying peace and harmony while transforming the economy,” he accused.

Ms Dapaah made the appeal at the Jospong Group of Companies Thanksgiving Service in Accra on November 27, 2020 on the company esplanade.

The Thanksgiving service was themed: “Celebrating the goodness of the Lord” to appreciate the unwavering goodness of the Lord for the successes scored by the entities under the group in 2020.

Ms. Dapaah took the occasion to reiterate the commitment of the Nana Akufo-Addo government to continue supporting private businesses and its determination to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa.

He also commended the Jospong Group for their tremendous support for his Ministry and prayed that they continue to work together to keep Ghana clean and free of dirt.

Delivering the sermon at the thanksgiving service, the revered Lawrence Tetteh, a renowned international evangelist, admonished politicians to always seek the face of God rather than seek the favor of men.

According to him, as the nation goes to the polls on December 7, 2020, it is important that all politicians draw close to God, listen to and acknowledge God in all their campaigns and tours.

“Most politicians today do not seek the face of the Almighty, but do everything possible to win the favor of men,” he lamented.

He described such actions as worrying and dangerous for the peace and harmony enjoyed in the country.

While preaching more, he pointed out that a country without prayer is useless and always has crisis and challenges, therefore, he called on each and everyone to intercede on behalf of Ghana.

Reverend Tetteh also called for peace as Ghana goes to the polls to once again select a leader to rule the country for the next four years.

For his part, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, President of Zoomlion and Jospong Group of Companies, thanked the past presidents, JJ Rawlings, JA Kufuor, JEA Mills, JD Mahama and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their unparalleled support to the over the years to the company.

He also took the opportunity to thank the staff for the passion they have put into the execution of their work and praised the Minister of Sanitation for her support of the company.

Parliament’s Select Committee on Sanitation, which was duly represented, was also appreciated for its immense support for the Jospong Group.

The CEO concluded by calling on each and every one to go to the polls on December 7 with decorum and help continue to deepen democracy in Ghana.
