The chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana has charged the members of the 8th Parliament with seeking the welfare of the people.
Dr. Paul Boafo asked politicians, in particular, to use the Christmas season to build bridges.
The president of the Christian Council who spoke on the AM program on Friday also stated that Ghanaians must recognize that God has granted their wish for peace even after the elections and strive to maintain that atmosphere.
“His peace, which will unite us as one people, will bring development, will see Ghanaians living with a common destiny, will build bridges and will not break bridges. This is the first thing we will ask for.
“We will also ask that since we have a new parliament, the parliament give priority to Ghana. God should grant that this parliament that we are going to have on January 7, 2021, is a parliament that seeks the welfare of the people. That they will put aside all partisan interests and feelings and make sure that everything they do will build the country, “he said.
