Sam George, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram’s National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said that the head of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mrs Jean Mensa, has now become a demigod.
The minority in parliament led by the leader of the minority in parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, and the main minority whip, Muntaka Mubarak, on Tuesday December 22, 2020, broke through the police barricade at Ridge Roundabout to petition the president of the electoral commissioner, Jean Mensa. .
The police prevented them from fulfilling their request that, according to the EC, the NDC should have given them prior notice.
In response to this on Neat FM, Sam George said: “Jean Mensa is now a demigod and we need to ask permission before going with her, since when did Ghana become this. If they see her as a demigod, we don’t see her as such. “
“The lack of respect that he has shown us will be treated in the same way in the next parliament because in the next parliament we form a majority, do not forget it,” he said.
According to the NDC, the EC is deceiving former President Mahama as well as some of his would-be MPs.
As a result, they are submitting a petition to the president of the EC to correct the mistakes in the recent elections.
